During this visit, the delegation from the Indian Boiler Factory gained a detailed understanding of Dalian Huiying Machinery's range of grate products. Among the company's standout offerings is the beam-type grate, which features an oblique air-outlet design. The ventilation holes are angled at a specific degree relative to the vertical direction, enabling more effective horizontal air diffusion within the coal bed. This innovative design significantly enhances the mixing efficiency between coal and air, while also minimizing coal spillage. Additionally, the reciprocating grate is specifically engineered for biomass boilers and waste incineration systems. By utilizing the back-and-forth motion of movable grate bars against fixed ones, the fuel is continuously tumbled and mixed, making it highly adaptable to fuels of varying quality and ensuring exceptionally high combustion efficiency. Lastly, the scale-type grate, with its unique overlapping design, effectively reduces coal leakage and delivers smooth, dependable operational performance. Reciprocating grates are generally classified into inclined reciprocating grates and horizontal reciprocating grates according to their structural form. Reciprocating grates are stepped and are composed of fixed grate bars and moving grate bars arranged in the same way and stacked together. The moving grate reciprocates, causing the coal to move downwards evenly. The stroke is generally 70-110 mm, with a larger stroke selected for poor coal quality. As the coal layer moves on the moving grate, it is squeezed, rolled, and stirred. Some new coal is pushed onto the already ignited hot coal layer below, while the moving grate bars retract, bringing some already ignited hot coal back to the unburned new coal layer below, giving the fuel layer the characteristic of double-sided ignition. Unlike chain grates, there is relative movement between the coal layer and the grate, which can loosen the coal layer and increase its permeability. The mutual squeezing and friction between the coal particles cause the ash shell wrapped around the hot coal particles to fall off, which is conducive to the complete combustion of coke. The reciprocating movement of the grate can also break coke lumps with weak bonding strength, and has a certain fire-stirring effect.
